Defeat at Redcar
| 27 March 2009
It started off great for me with a win, but I came in after the 1st race and said "the bike doesn't feel right". It sounded really flat and wasn't as sharpe as it usually is. But as Dickie said "you were fast enough", so we decided to leave it.
After the 2nd one, i still wasn't happy so i made some changes and tried to get the engine running better. But my results showed that i just got progressively worse! Then on the way back to the pits in heat 15, the engine seized.
I was gutted to say the least, but the silver lining is that i was right and the engine wesn't running right.
Sadly, now that probably means i will only have the one bike both meetings at the weekend, but it will be fine.
As for the team, it was great to Casper getting another good score with a win and paid win. Once Kenny takes a race to work out the track, theres no stopping him, he had a great night. Derek had some clutch problems and trent also blew an engine. Craig had a good win in heat 2. It was a shame we let the meeting run away from us as when we got it back to 5, there was a chance we could take it, but it wasn't to be and we will just ave to turn them over on Sunday!
Cheers
Jay
