Job Done...Almost!

Well after the weekend’s performance, it’s almost certain that we have made the playoffs. It was a great weekend all round, taking all 4 points at Newport and then 3 on the Monday night.
It turned out to be a long weekend as I set off on Saturday and had a day at Alton Towers with a few of the lads and lasses. Then off to Newport on Sunday, where I thought after a nice 2:30 start I would be home at a decent hour. I couldn’t have been more wrong as I ended up stuck on the M1 for 3.5 hours and strolled in at 2:00am. I had to be up for work a few hours later, so by the time I arrived at the track, I was feeling (and apparently looking) a bit worse for wear.
I had a quick power nap in the van once I unloaded and that seemed to help me a bit. In my first race I was awful as I had a rattle on my bike that I couldn’t find where it was coming from. After my first one, we have a good look over the bike and it turned out to be the bearings in the headstock were knackered. Once I knew that, it put my mind at rest and I could just concentrate on my racing, which showed, as I didn’t drop a point in my next 3 races.
It seemed to be a match with everything in, Congratulations o Kenni in getting a new track record and Mark capped off an awesome weekend with yet another max!
All in all, we’re riding great together as a team and the team spirit is great, we’re going to be trying our best to get through these play-offs and finish the season on a high!
Kings Lynn are next and hopefully we can get a good score over them, so they don’t pick us in the first round!
Cheers
