Busy Spell
| 13 April 2010
Hi
Its been a busy few weekends for us, but what a great weekend for us against Workington. After the disappointment of last week’s loss to Glasgow, it was great to get a home win on the board and that was helped with another away win at Workington.
I had a rough start to both meetings, picking up no points in my first rides, but thankfully I followed that up with paid 9 from my remaining 3 rides.
I thought I was a little hard done by in heat 3 at home. I thought I was passed Kildeman and he turned left on me, but as soon as I saw the red light flashing, I knew the ref had made his mind up. I struggled a little at home as my Newcastle bike wasn’t back in time for Sunday, so I had to use a bike I haven’t rode round Brough too much. It felt pretty good, so I was happy enough.
We have a week off this week and I think its come at the right time, especially for Adam who needs a week to rest and recover from his spill at Glasgow.
We have Edinburgh in town on Sunday and nothing less than a home win will be good enough if we are to stay on top in the group.
Then we head to Birmingham on Wednesday for our first League fixture. It should be a great meeting with two of the favourites meeting so early in the season.
See ya
J
