Jason scored 4+3 from his four rides helping Newcastle to win their opening Premier Trophy meeting of 2010 44-46 against the Edinburgh Monarchs.
Jay's night started off with Matthew Wethers and Kevin Wolbert scoring a 5-1 over the Diamonds pairing in Heat 3, but in Heat 7 Jay and Rene hit back with a 5-1 of their own over Max Dilger and Andrew Tully.
Heats 10 and 12 resulted in shared heats in a closely fought match where every point gained proved to be crucial.
Newcastle were chasing the meeting throughout until Danish Duo Kenni Larsen and Rene Bach scored a crucial 5-1 in Heat 15 to continue the Diamonds unbeaten start to the season.
